The spirit in us is immortal; it is beyond age. The body ages whether you like it or not, it is beyond control; but we can keep it more awake, more alive. When the body is fully connected with the spirit, with the consciousness- when every cell of the body is vibrant with consciousness- then it is younger; more enthusiastic.
One cannot force enthusiasm and confidence to come back to us. We may read many books; stand on our head, wear and make up nice clothes, but these cannot restore our confidence. The more we try to restore our confidence, the more we find ourselves in a disastrous condition.
When we feel useless, use that time to be prayerful. This is when we feel very humble, soft and subtle; we feel deep in some kind of love. Make use of this time to be in prayer, in deep meditation," I am nothing. I am not even useful. You take care of me. I am part of you."
You will see that we will gain the confidence and enthusiasm beyond all our imagination. We will be so confident because we will realize that that we are a part of the Divine.
Desires are always about small, worthless things. Whatever is worth desiring, we are already in it and we already have it.
To stop grumbling in the head: Look at everything we have and feel grateful for it. We have eyes, we can see. We have a tongue that can tell the difference between a pizza and an apple. If we are grateful, we cannot grumble.
Guilt is a sharp, deep sensation which is very close to sadness, to pain, and also to love. When we feel guilty, let us not try to brush it away. Instead, go deep into it and you will see that the guilt is no longer there. It just disappears, breaks away. Remember this law in the mind- Whatever we resist, will persist
The faith which passes through doubt becomes stronger, if at all you have to ask for something, ask for a faith which has passed through all the tests. This faith symbolizes an undivided mind, which is the sign of a mature intellect and consciousness. With faith, our mind becomes so total.
